Background
In collaboration with AIGA San Francisco, I provided brand design support to businesses partnered with La Cocina. The mission of La Cocina is to cultivate low-income food entrepreneurs as they formalize and grow their businesses.
Mi Morena, a proud partner of La Cocina, is a San Francisco-based restaurant known for its authentic homemade Mexican guisado tacos. In crafting the identity mark for Mi Morena, my aim was to infuse
a touch of Mexico into the brand experience for their customers. With a goal of bringing a sense of joy and festivity, the mark draws inspiration from papel picado, a traditional Mexican decorative paper featuring intricate cut-out designs.

color palette

Mi Morena’s color palette is derived from the bold festive colors seen on boats in Xochimilco and other traditional Mexican elements. The brand set by the identity mark reflects the sharing of colorful traditions and bringing people together.
